A letter to your brother advising him to give up smoking.

My Dear Sahil,
Recently, I learned from mother that you have started smoking in the company of your friends. This has given me much pain. Anything that is harmful is bad. Smoking is a bad habit because it does injure to our health. What does the smoker do and what does he get in return? The smoker spends a lot of money on buying cigarettes and match-boxes and gets only smoke and ashes in return. Think of a middle-class man who 'burns' money in this way. He could perhaps feed the children better, and educate them better with the money that he 'burns' every day. Smoking can sometimes cause a killing disease.

I strongly advise you to give up smoking at once. It is yet a beginning. The habit will grow. Then you will find it difficult to give it up.

I am all right here and hope you to be the same there.

Yours affectionately,
XYZ.
