My Dear Sanjay, 
I am in receipt of your letter. I was delighted to read that you have, as usual, topped the class and have been promoted to class VIII. 

I hope you will keep up your position in class VIII also. But it does not mean that I am suggesting to you to become a book-worm. You must know that cultural activities are part and parcel of education. They play a big role in making a full man. They please the mind. I hope you will give due attention to extra-curricular activities in the school.
