Write a letter to your uncle telling him about the discomforts of railway journey in a second class compartment.
My Dear Uncle,
You will be pleased to know that I reached here yesterday from Etawah. I purchased a second class ticket. So I had to suffer much in the journey.
I reached Etawah at 8 p.m. After waiting for three hours, the Janta Express came as it was late. As soon as the train stopped, I rushed towards it.
At that time the platform was full of passengers. The atmosphere was noisy. There was pushing and elbowing before every compartment. None cared for decency. Everyone was after his own end. With much difficulty, I entered in, but could not get a seat. Throughout the journey, I had to remain standing. At Tundala, I got an upper berth and slept. When I woke up, near the Jamuna Bridge I came to know that someone had gone out with my shoes and bag. I was very sad. But what could I do then?
Thank God, my ticket was in my pocket. So with a heavy heart, I got down at Agra Fort.
I was put to shame when I came out of the platform. Everyone stared at me. People were, smiling stealthily. I was in a fine suit but without shoes and a bag. People thought me a vagabond or a pick-pocket. Such a critical situation I have never been in!
With love to younger brothers.
Your loving nephew,
Ashok
