Contentment

Contentment means satisfaction with what a man possesses in life. It is a divine virtue of a man. Contentment brings peace and happiness to him. A contented person works hard to earn a living. He is neither greedy nor corrupt. He does not feel jealous of others' property. He does not envy others fame and status. Contentment is a matter of mind. A contented person is happy with whatever he gets in life. He too works for a better life but not at the cost of present happiness. Contentment inculcates in man purity of heart and maturity of mind. A contended person never deceives anyone. He does not imitate others' methods of earning and living. He follows his own method. He listens to the dictates of his conscience. He spends within his limits. He does not display anything. He faces failures with a smile. He does not lose patience in difficult situations. He thanks God for everything. He surrenders to the will of God in every situation. He leads a simple and joyful life. Contentment makes a man noble, kind and virtuous.
