Biography of Shri Amrender Muni Ji

Shri Amrender Muni Ji was born in 1949 in Delhi. He became a wanderer at a very young age and started travelling place to place with Jain monks. At the early age of 14, he was initiated into Jainism.

He obtained a degree in Sanskrit and a Master’s degree in Philosophy. He has done extensive study of Hindu, Buddhist and Jain scriptures. Muni Ji has participated in several discussions with many veteran religious and political leaders like the Dalai Lama, Mother Teresa, Bill Clinton, Michael Gorbachev, many Presidents and Prime Ministers of India including Atal Bihari Vajpayee. He has delivered a number of speeches on non-violence, peaceful co-existence and environmental protection.

He is actively involved in organising seminars and camps for children and families to spread the gospel of Jainism, non-violence meditation and yoga in India, the U.S.A. and Canada. Muni Ji has initiated a unique project in the outskirts of New Delhi housing temples of various faiths, boarding Schools for orphans, etc. He has also opened three healthcare centers.
