Aishwarya Rai is a talented and beautiful actress. She has impressed everyone with her beauty and grace. She was born on November 1, 1973, at Mangalore in Karnataka.

Aishwarya did her schooling at Arya Vidya Mandir, Santacruz. Academically, she did very well. She started getting modeling assignments when she was a student of architecture. Then she decided to concentrate on modeling. ‘Ash' became a household name with the Pepsi ad campaign. She was crowned Miss Femina World and went on to win the Miss World title at Sun City in 1994.

Ash is now in the Mumbai film industry. She is now a successful actress. With 'Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam' she proved that she is a good actress. Her acting in the film 'Taal was also appreciated. Her film "Mohabbtatein' was successful. Her recent film 'Devdas' was a super hit and made entry at the Academy Awards. She has beautifully portrayed the role of Paro in the film and was awarded with the Filmfare Award for it.
