Biography of "Indrani Sen"

Indrani Sen's prodigious talents in various disciplines in the world of Indian music project her as the most popular female artist in the field of Rabindra Sangeet.

She is the daughter of well-known singer Sumitra Sen. In Rabindra Sangeet, she underwent training under from the legendary singer, Debabrata Biswas. She received training in classical singing from Bibhuti Dutta, while Purabi Dutta taught her 'Nazrulegeeti'.

Indrani is also an outstanding academician. She is a reader and head of the Department of Economics in a leading college at Kolkata. In the field of music, Indrani's distinctive style with a well-modulated delivery has made a delightful experience for her listeners. Indrani was also the only privileged artist to sing the new songs composed by R.D. Burman in his last Bengali composition 'Shurey Shurey Jal Bona'. Her live performances all over India, have always been appreciated.
