Most respectfully I beg to say that my sister's wedding comes off on the 15th April, 2008. As my father is alone, there is one in the house to help. 

Moreover, I am the eldest son of my parents and I think it my moral duty to help them on this occasion. I have to make arrangements for food and lodging for the barat.

So I request you to grant me a week's leave to enable me to fulfil my obligation.
