If I Were A Millionaire

A society is composed of two kinds of people—the millionaires on the one hand and the poverty-stricken on the other. But most of the millionaires become millionaires only for themselves, not for others. They lead a luxurious life without feeling any kind of bitterness of life.

If I become a millionaire, I would do all to live for others and not for my own self. My aim and object will be to give comfort to others and relief to the sufferers. I shall leave no stone unturned to do good for the welfare of humanity.

I would be my foremost duty to bring relief to the orphans. I shall open an orphanage to give them a shelter where they can get a chance to give under the care of some humane person. They will get an opportunity to live. An old people's home is also a necessity of our society where old, retired people, rejected, defected, disappointed, neglected by their own people and children, would live comfortably. I will shower all love and care on them. I would not let them feel neglected and useless but necessary part of a machine on which this society moves. These people who are neglected will be most wanted children left in gutters, rubbish, fields or some other places will also have a home of their own. They will be given proper education and a good atmosphere for the harmonious development of body, mind, and intellect. I shall never like them to go on the streets to beg for their subsistence.

The next step will be to open schools and colleges for the spread of education. Education is the steep stone of development of the society. If our children get a chance to acquire education without any discrimination it will be our goal. All the children will get the opportunity to enter my school or college if he qualifies a certain standard.

Lastly, I would look to the poor and miserable who have become despondent, desperate, and despicable because of certain weaknesses of their own. They are not to be pitied but inspired to rise and walk on the path of life and become useful. The destitute will be given a friendly hand, with sympathy and love.

Becoming a millionaire is something but behaving like a real millionaire is another. I shall possess a heart very warm, kind, and awakened to the sorrows of the world. Everybody can live for his own self and it is easy sometimes life becomes heavy, bitter and without any charm. So my occupation will be to reduce the miseries and sorrow of the people. It will be my endeavor if I become a millionaire to serve the suffering humanity.
