My Ambition in Life

"We attain glory through aim and planning."

Every one of us must have an aim in his life. A life without an aim is useless. It is like a ship without a captain or a boat without an oar. Some of us may like to be wealthy, some may not be worried much about wealth, some may like to be administrators, and others may like to be doctors, engineers, journalists, artists, or writers. There may be many who may like to go to Defense services, others may like to work as social workers. So there are a number of choices and options for a person to choose from.

In our times, there is a lot of competition. One must choose one's career very carefully. Once a choice has been made, one must pursue it thoroughly. It is only hard work and determination that help in achieving one's goal. Man is a social animal. He survives for society and society lives for him. He has to lead a life that is not selfish. A person with simple habits and high thinking is always held in high esteem.

I have my own aim. For me, money is not much of a consideration. I intend to be a teacher in my life. A teacher is always respected. He is the builder of the nation. The younger generation that he teaches is the future of the country. So the teacher casts the future of a nation. They serve as a beacon for the nation. They are the ray of hope for the country. If the teachers are dedicated, a strong nation is built. But if the teachers deviate, the nation may be ruined. So the teachers are worshipped as Guru. They command a lot of respect in society.

These days, teachers are not paid well. They are not cared for. So there is a decline in the national character. If we are to build India into a strong nation, its teachers must be free from worries. They must be dedicated ones. They must be paid well. I have chosen my profession of teaching as I am not much worried about money. I prefer simple living and high thinking with a motto of Service before self'.
