Dear Sir,

I would like to draw your attention towards the nuisance of loudspeakers during the ongoing Navratras.

People are organizing all-night prayer meetings and are using loudspeakers for playing devotional music.

As a resident of sector 29, I have nothing against the prayer meetings and Jagratas. I however strongly object to the menace of loudspeakers. They not only disturb the sleep of office-going people, but they also disturb the children who are preparing for their exams. The old and infirm develop health complications because of the loud noises emitting from them.

No permission is taken by these people before putting up the loudspeakers. Repeated requests by us do not make them turn down the volume of the loudspeakers. Neither the beat constable nor the local S.H.O. is of any help in this matter.

I, therefore, urge you to kindly inspect this area at the night and issue necessary instructions in this regard.
