Write a petition to the Collector or your district in regard to repairing a village well.

Sir,

We the residents of village Maghpur, District Kashipur, U. P. put forth this petition, in which we would like to bring to your notice the sad state of our village well.

The portions of the wall surrounding the well have fallen down. This has made the well unsafe for everyday use. There is always the fear of some child or animal falling into the well and drowning. We have put temporary barricades around the well. This step however has not been very successful

We are unable to irrigate our small fields and are therefore in danger of losing our meager crops and livelihood. Our per capita income is not sufficient to repair the well permanently.

We thus request you to kindly look into the matter at the earliest so that we may be able to save our crops.
