My dear Mother and Father,

I hope this letter finds you in the best of health and cheer. You had asked me in your last letter to visit Mr. and Mrs. Sharma and their daughter at their Teak Colony residence. I went to visit them last Saturday.

I reached their house at 5.30 p. m. I had already informed them earlier of my visit. They were therefore expecting me. I was received by Mrs. Sharma in a most cordial manner. Mr. Sharma was at that moment attending to urgent phone calls and was thus not there with Mrs. Sharma.

They live in a large and well-maintained bungalow, which has a lawn in front and a kitchen garden at the back. The fact about the kitchen garden was revealed to me during the course of our conversation

Sunita, their daughter was also present with her parents. She took an active part in the conversation. Mrs. Sharma is a pleasant middle-aged lady. She is an excellent house-keeper. Mr. Sharma on the other hand is a well-informed person and loves to talk about his garden. Sunita is doing her final year of M.A. from the Poorvanchal University. She appears to be a bright girl. Her interests are varied from reading to painting and playing the sitar. She has been very candid in admitting that she has not done much housework because of her preoccupation with college and other activities.

Dear parents, I would also like to tell you that Mr. Sharma is well acquainted with all the books that his father has written over the years. In fact, it came as a pleasant surprise to see all the books that father has authored on their bookshelf.

In all, I find the family very cultured and concerned about the welfare of the guests. They also seemed to be kind to their servant.
