अर्थ:

आँखों से आगे के मार्ग को ठीक से देख कर आगे बढ़ना चाहिए, कपड़े से छानकर पानी पीना चाहिए, सच बोल रहा है यह सुनिश्चित करके बोलना चाहिए और सभी पूर्वाग्रहों और द्वेष से अपने दिल को शुद्ध करके दूसरों के साथ व्यवहार करना चाहिए। 

Meaning:

One should move forward after properly scanning the path ahead with his eyes, should drink water after filtering it with a piece of cloth,  should speak after ascertaining that he is speaking the truth, and should behave with others after purifying his heart from all prejudices and malice.
