Biography of Dilip Kumar

Dilip Kumar was previously known as Yusuf Khan. He was born in 1922 in Peshawar. Yusuf Khan or Dilip Kumar worked in a British army canteen in Bombay in 1940. It was Devika Rani who gave him the name Dilip Kumar.
The first film by Dilip Kumar was 'war Bhata' (1944). The film Andaz brought him superstardom. Later on, Dilip Kumar became famous as a tragic hero. 'Deedar', 'Devdas' marked him as a good actor. Aan', Agad', 'Insaniyat are the popular movies of Dilip Kumar. Dilip Kumar became famous like the romantic hero Raj Kapoor. Nitin Bose's ‘Ganga Jamuna', Bimal Roy's ‘Madhumati' and Tapan Sinha's 'Sagina Mahato' are the well-known films of Dilip Kumar.
Dilip Kumar was married to Saira Banu. Both of them acted in films like "Junglee', 'Dil Diya Dard Liya', 'Ram Aur Shyam', 'Kranti, "Mazdoor'. With his trio of Subhash Ghai films, Vidhaata', 'Karma' and "Sudagar', he continued to leave no emotion unexplored.
