Jackie Shroff is a famous actor in India. He belonged to a poor family but through sheer hard work and excellent acting skills, he became a star in the Mumbai film industry. He had to struggle hard to get a break. He got a small role in Dev Anand's film 'Swami Dada'. But the role did not change his fate.

His first real break came when famous film director Subhash Ghai spotted him and offered him a big role in his film, 'Hero'. The film had a good storyline and melodious music. The film was a great commercial success. There was no looking back for Jackie then. With the success of other films, he became a famous star. His pairing with Anil Kapoor was very successful too.
