Biography of Manisha Koirala

Manisha Koirala was born in a royal family in Nepal but made her mark in the Mumbai film industry as an actress. In her childhood, she inherited all the royal behaviour, personality, communication skills carefree attitude and love for everything around in the world. She came to India and did her schooling in Army Public School, Delhi. Finally, she went to Mumbai to pursue a career in acting in Bollywood.
She was given a break by the famous film director Subhash Ghai in his film ‘Saudagar’. The film also had stalwarts like Dilip Kumar and Raj Kumar. The film did well and Manisha was appreciated. Then famous film director Mani Ratnam offered her a lead role in his film "Bombay'. The film was a superhit and Manisha proved her acting credentials with the film. Her acting in the film 1942: A Love Story' was appreciated. Her major films include ‘Saudagar', 'Bombay, 1942: A Love Story, Khamoshi, Dil Se', ‘Akele Hum Akele Tum' and 'Mann'. Recently her film 'Ek Chhoti Si Love Story was commercially successful, though controversial.
