Biography of Yash Chopra
Yash Chopra was born in 1932. He began his career as an assistant director of I.S. Johar and then began assisting elder brother B.R. Chopra. He became an independent producer with the film 'Daag’.
Yash Chopra's association with Amitabh Bachchan resulted in superhit films like 'Deewar', 'Trishul’ and 'Kabhi Kabhi’. Later he adapted his style to the image of Shah Rukh Khan for the film 'Darr', an immensely popular and hit film. In 1995, his son Aditya's first directorial venture ‘Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenga' was released, which turned out to be a mega-hit. This film was produced by Yash Chopra. In 1997, his film, ‘Dil To Pagal Hai', a commercially hit movie, proved that Yash Chopra could camouflage his trademark love stories successfully to the dictates and likings of the current generation.
Yash Chopra is the only in-demand director today who has had a hit in each of the last five decades. His films, though rich with imagery, are charged with genuine feelings.
