Sub: Loss compensation due to delay in sending the film.

Dear Sir,

I would like to bring to your notice that M/s Venus Films of Mumbai had booked an express parcel of films. This booking was done under your ‘EXPRESS PARCEL SERVICE' scheme. The booking number was 09/ EXPAMRT10. This parcel was to reach us by the 10th of March. The payment of Rs 8500/- was made at the same time. The receipt number is 2324/EXP/AMRT.

We were subsequently assured that the parcel will reach on time.

We however have to regretfully inform you that despite completing all the formalities the Railway Authority has defaulted in delivering the parcel on time. Consequently, the expenditure incurred by us towards the publicity of the film and the losses incurred to us because of the refund to the viewing public has been Rs 10, 75645/-. We have included photocopies of the relevant documents to support our claim.

As assured by the Authority and as mentioned in the bylaws no. 45 and 64b of the 'Express Parcel Service', we, therefore, claim the damages caused by the delay.

In this regard, we hope to hear from you soon.

Thanking you,

Yours sincerely,

ABC.
