Dear Vijay

Words fail me to thank you for accepting my invitation to visit Amritsar during the Autumn Break. We shall have a jolly good time here.

I have chalked out a busy programme of sight-seeing and outing. Amritsar is a holy-city, bordering Pakistan. Thousands of people visit it every month from every nook and corner of India. The city has great historic importance. I am sure that you must have read about the massacre of the Indians at the famous JallianwallaBagh. We shall visit that site and pay our tributes to the martyrs. Golden Temple is very close to our house. You will marvel at its beauty. Durgianamandir is another great attraction for this city. The Hindus from all ranks of life flock there in the morning as well as in the evening to worship their gods. I shall take you to the Indo-Pak Border so that you may see for yourself how brave jawans are guarding our frontiers. That is not all. We have about a dozen other places worth seeing.

Looking forward to your visit.

Yours sincerely,

Suresh Chandra Verma
