Biography of Salman Khan

The name Salman Khan evokes admiration and laughter. Admiration for his acting skills and laughter for his childish and reckless ways. Born to Salma and Salim Khan in Mumbai, Salman inherited his father's good looks and creative skills.

He started out in the big bad world of movies with a minute role in ‘Biwi Ho To Aisi'. His fame came with Sooraj Barjatya's ‘Maine Pyar Kiya', which highlighted Salman in the top bracket. Salman Khan introduced the concept of the hero flaunting his physique on screen. He slowly matured doing all kinds of roles, be it a comedy in 'Biwi No.1', mature performance in ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai' or pure action in ‘Veergati'.

One movie of his which stands out purely in terms of craft and acting IS 'Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam'. In this movie, Salman showed that he was at the case with mushy romantic roles.

Salman's life is a perfect example of a person unable to take success in his own stride as he is always in the news for his uncharacteristic activities.
